Arosa Bärenland

Do you know where the honey comes from and how it is made? The Arosa Bear Sanctuary, in cooperation with the Arosa beekeeper Rolf Mischol, offers you a unique experience during the summer season. Answers to these questions are guaranteed.

Accompany the local expert to his hive when the last rays of sunshine are already shining on the mountain scenery. Watch the experienced beekeeper work for two hours, help and learn about bears, bees and honey. Finish the evening together with a keeper of the Arosa Bear Sanctuary on a hike from "Prätschli" back to the village.

Depending on the work on the hive, you will learn how to care for the bees (June- approx. mid-July), how the honey is harvested (approx. mid-July) or how the bees are fed after the honey harvest and treated against mites. From mid-July, you will also learn how to prepare a bee colony for winter.

Maximum 5 people per course.
Only takes place in dry weather.

The protective equipment is provided.
