DISCOVERIES FOR OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS

A short but crisp mountain hike in terms of distance, which is rewarded with a fantastic view. The metres in altitude are quite a challenge. Almost 900 metres of altitude difference are covered in three kilometres, at the end with the support of ropes. This requires a head for heights and surefootedness, but the view at the end makes you forget all your efforts.

Hike through the Crap Furò natural forest reserve in Surava to the geographical centre of Graubünden and learn more about the pioneering achievements of people and nature on the themed trail.

Alp Sanaspans is also a suitable starting point for other tours. For example, a demanding tour to the Rothorn awaits, which makes high demands on your physical condition and offers some highlights. The waterfall in Sanaspans, for example, not only takes your breath away, but also offers a lot to discover.

Be a ninja for once - that's exactly what you can do on the Ninja Warrior course in Chur. With skill, endurance, body control and concentration, various obstacles have to be overcome. At the same time, balance, jumping technique and much more are trained. Spend an action-packed time alone or with friends.

Lenzerhorn, Rothorn, Stätzerhorn, Piz Danis and Piz Scalottas are «the big five» of the Lenzerheide holiday region. This one-day trail running tour crosses them all and promises breathtaking panoramas and varied trail sections. Surefootedness and experience in trail running are two clear prerequisites for «the big five».

Proud like an ibex, the large boundary stone of the former three confederations, which as a stone monument reminds of the freedom fighters of Graubünden, rises to the sky. The Dreibündenstein at 2.160 meters above mean sea level is simultaneously a peak, a plateau and a historical border point. Various hiking and trail running tours with spectacular views lead to it.

Hiking or trail running combined with cultural discoveries. Along the way there are various cultural highlights such as the Belfort castle ruins or the Paunt dalla Dieschma - the bridge over which the trade route once ran.

Creusen is a Maiensäss in the municipality of Vaz/Obervaz, situated at 1.520 metres above main sea level and home to one of the smallest chapels. A leisurely hike or short run leads from Lenzerheide via Lain to Creusen. Alternatively, a scenic hike from Zorten via Creusen to Tgantieni can be combined.

Discover the «fascination of biathlon». The mixture of concentration and precision in shooting as well as a stamina unit make biathlon a challenge for body and soul. After an introduction to shooting, you can try to raise your pulse while running, roller-skating or biking and then try to hit the target.

On foot across the Septimer, from one Alpine town to the next. Already in Roman times the Septimer was one of the most important Alpine crossings. At the centre of this cultural and long-distance hiking trail are three linguistic and cultural areas, a diverse cultural landscape - from the Alpine step to the chestnut woods, as well as a multitude of historical buildings - from the bishop's town of Chur via Lenzerheide, through Surses and Bergell to Chiavenna.
