Biathlon in Summer

Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide

The Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide is the first and so far only permanently installed biathlon facility in Switzerland. With its location in the Foppa area in Lantsch / Lenz, it is optimally integrated into the trail network of the Lenzerheide holiday region. The core of the Biathlon Arena is the World Cup compliant shooting range with 30 seats. In addition to the training and competition center for national and international sports teams, the modern accommodation and gastronomy offers also perfect conditions for active recreational athletes. During taster courses, the fascination of biathlon can be experienced first-hand.

Taster sessions & group events

Experience the «fascination of biathlon» - the mixture of concentration and precision when shooting, as well as the stamina and power required for cross-country skiing makes biathlon a challenge for body and mind. After an introduction to shooting with small calibre rifles, you can raise your pulse while running or biking and afterwards attempt to hit the target whilst shooting. In summer you can challenge your stamina by bike, on roller skis or simply on foot. During the fun competition, the rifles always remain at the firing range.

The Lenzerheide Biathlon Arena offers various taster sessions, or can organise an event for you and your colleagues, team mates or friends.

Rollerski track

In summer, the area around the Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide offers an ideal training opportunity for everyone who wants to prepare for the cross-country skiing season early on. The challenging 1.6 km long rollerski track is perfectly integrated into the landscape and leads from the shooting range up to the St. Cassian Chapel and back to the Biathlon Arena. The course is single and double-tracked and has a height of around 25 metres.

If you don't have your own rollerski equipment, you can rent it on site and just like in winter, you also need a pass for the rollerski track. This can be purchased directly on site.

In spring 2019, the municipality of Lantsch/Lenz approved an extension of the rollerski track from 1.6 km to 5.2 km. The extension will enhance the international reputation of the Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide. Lenzerheide will thus have the longest rollerski track at over 1,400 m above sea level in the future (probably from summer 2020). The international top athletes and national teams will subsequently find optimal conditions for high-altitude training camps in summer.
