Winter mountain adventures in Lenzerheide

Everybody is guaranteed to have a great time with the mountain adventures on offer in Lenzerheide. During the winter season, Lenzerheide Mountain Railway runs many offers and events in the mountains. Pretend that you're «King for one Night» and join our snow groomer drivers on their nightly rounds. Or be the first to leave your tracks on the freshly groomed slopes with EarlyBird.

EarlyBird in Lenzerheide

At 6.30 a.m. you take the Proschieri ski lift and the Stätzertäli chairlift to the top of the mountain. On the slope, which is still illuminated at this time of the morning, you make the first tracks in the virgin snow and enjoy the unparalleled atmosphere of an early winter morning on the mountain. From 8.00 a.m. you can fortify yourself for the rest of the day at the sumptuous buffet breakfast at the Alp Stätz mountain restaurant. 

When: every Sunday, 3 February to 7 April 2019; exclusive EarlyBird skiing from 6.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. and breakfast at the Alp Stätz mountain restaurant from 8.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.

King for one night lenzerheide

You may have admired the snow groomers from a distance and dreamt about riding in such a powerful vehicle yourself. The exclusive «King for one Night» offer gives you the chance to join our professionals on their rounds. You will learn about how the slopes are prepared and everything else involved in the grooming process. Be a real snow groomer driver for one night.
Where: Stätz/Heidbüel area (on the western side); meeting point: 4.00 p.m. outside Garage Stätz (at the level of the Chilihütta)
Cost: flat rate of CHF 180.00 per person. The price includes riding in a snow groomer for about two hours and a certificate with a photo as memento.

The event may be postponed if the weather is bad. Guests will be informed in person of a postponement after 3.00 p.m. You will be reimbursed if the event is cancelled.

Cauldron punch in Lenzerheide

After your day of fun in the snow at Arosa Lenzerheide, you're welcome to join us from 3.30 p.m. for some cauldron punch. Come and round off your winter's day with some hot glühwein or punch while getting to know some of the employees of Arosa Lenzerheide. We look forward to seeing you!
Registration: You don't need to book. The event takes place in any weather.

Dinner a little different

Original hut evening with cheese fondue or fillet of beef in the mountain restaurant Avant Clavo

A short winter walk from the Fadail car park takes you to the traditional Avant Clavo hut. Experience a romantic and convivial evening with a «dinner with a difference» and let the kitchen spoil you.

Location/Date: Mountain Restaurant Avant Clavo each Tuesday and Thursday from December till March
Offer: cheese fondue incl. green salad or fillet of beef (200 g) served with rosemary potatoes and vegetables incl. green salad, individual dessert CHF 10.00

Looking over the employee's shoulders 

During an exclusive guided tour you will get to know the various tasks of our employees. In the Arosa Lenzerheide snow-sports region, you will get around with your skis/snowboard.

Dates: The dates for 18/19 have already taken place. News dates for winter season 19/20 will be following. 
Meeting place: Alp Nova, large information board, 1.00-4.00 p.m.

SnowNights

At Alp Stätz, you can ski down a 3.5-km freshly groomed and illuminated slope every Friday evening from New Year's Eve to mid-March. For dinner, the Alp Stätz mountain restaurant offers a choice of all-you-can-eat fondue, raclette or its legendary fondue chinoise. Follow the dinner with some après-ski relaxation at the Chilihütta, Stätzer Schirmbar, Tälibar, Sil Mot Bar or Obertor. 

Operating times: the Proschieri ski lift/Stätzertäli chairlift are in non-stop operation from 6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. Operating times on New Year's Eve: Proschieri ski lift 6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m., Stätzertäli chairlift 6.00 p.m. to midnight

Shuttle bus: departure from Lenzerheide Post Office via Valbella Church to the Proschiera valley station at 6.30 p.m./7.00 p.m./7.30 p.m. Return from Proschieri valley station at 10.00 p.m./11.00 p.m. The last post bus from Parpan Post Office to Chur departs at 11.07 p.m.

Night sledging Lenzerheide

The popular night sledging event takes place every Wednesday night from January to mid-March on the illuminated, 3.8-km sledge run from the Scharmoin halfway station to the Rothorn valley station. The Rothorn 1 cable railway will take you up the mountain in comfort. At the Scharmoin mountain restaurant you can enjoy a cup of hot Ovomaltine or glühwein as well as a tasty fondue. 

Operating times: Rothorn 1 non-stop operation and illumination of sledge run from 6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. New Year's Eve: Rothorn 1 non-stop operation from 6.00 p.m. to midnight and illumination of sledge run from 6.00 p.m. to 1.00 a.m.

Prices
Adults, senior citizens, young adults CHF 20.00; Teenagers CHF 15.00; Children CHF 10.00; Family special: free of charge for children up to the age of 12 who are accompanied by a parent.

Dinner can be booked directly with the Scharmoin mountain restaurant (+41 81 385 51 85). 

Sledge rental: Sledges can be rented from Pesko Rental at the Rothorn valley station (+41 81 385 10 60). Normal price CHF 12.00. Groups/schools benefit from a special rate of CHF 10.00 from ten sledges.

Full moon downhill run from 2,865 m

On the full moon downhill run you can enjoy a wonderful night view of 1,001 mountain peaks at 2,865 m above sea level. On arrival you're welcomed with cocktails. You're then served an elegant three-course dinner at the panorama restaurant on the Rothorn summit before moving on to the real highlight: the joint run downhill to the valley under the light of the full moon. At ZBar (Rothorn valley station), the evening is rounded off with a nightcap.

Operating times: ascent from Rothorn valley station to Rothorn summit at 7.30 p.m.
