Arodoro is the watch and jewelry store in Arosa and here on the web. Although newly founded, we bring over three decades of industry experience.

Our boutique customers are either locals or guests in Arosa. With the webshop, we serve our customers throughout Switzerland and Liechtenstein. An informal, simple, and personal shopping experience is important to us so that you can give a lovely gift to a loved one or to yourself.

Jürg Domenig, Founder of Arodoro

Jürg Domenig grew up in Maladers and has always been connected to Schanfigg. The trained watchmaker and goldsmith learned the trade from scratch. He completed his apprenticeships as a goldsmith and watchmaker with Jäggi in Chur.

During his time at Chronometrie Beyer in Zurich, he furthered his education and earned a higher commercial diploma. In 1999, he was appointed branch manager of Jäggi in Arosa. There, Jürg Domenig also got involved in the boards of the Trade and Industry Association (HGV Arosa) and Arosa Tourism.

From 2006, Domenig worked as Head of Product Management at Gübelin, before being appointed to the management of Kurz Schmuck Uhren AG in 2010. As Head of the Jewellery Department, he was responsible for the entire jewelry sector. During these two professional phases, Jürg Domenig completed training as a product manager at ZfU International Business School. He was also able to establish important contacts with suppliers at national/international fairs. He had a significant influence on design development, production, and the compilation of the entire jewelry collections of Kurz AG.

In 2020, Jürg Domenig returned to Arosa for good, where he led and established the economic development project "We for Arosa" for the municipality.

Jürg Domenig lives and engages with his wife in Arosa.

The Name Arodoro

Arodoro is an acronym or coined word. It is formed from Arosa, Domenig, and Oro, which means gold in Spanish and Italian.

The name thus connects Arosa as homeland, Domenig with his know-how, and Oro as a symbol of beauty and high quality - Arodoro indeed.
