Switzerland's mountain bike downhill race series for children and young adults

The Bike Kingdom Kids Cup is a downhill racing series specially organised for children aged 6 to 16. In 2024, the series will be organised for the fourth time, ensuring a consistent platform for young downhill riders in Switzerland. The dates for the 2024 season have already been confirmed, and we are excited to experience the thrilling downhill action of young Swiss riders over three weekends.

2nd race: 17 to 18 August 2024 Alpenbikepark Chur
3rd race: 28 to 29 September 2024 Bike Kingdom Park Lenzerheide (fully booked, please join the waiting list)

The U13 Hot Trail, U15 and U17 categories will have a seeding run on Saturday. The seeding run defines the starting order for the race on Sunday, but is not compulsory.

The course is run once for time. The fastest time wins. There is neither a seeding run nor a qualification. The timing will be done professionally.

*U13 category for children who ride in the Hot Trail classification. This category rides the U15 course and is categorised and ranked with the U15s. With the approval of the race organisers, younger kids may start in an older category.

1.30 to 2.00 pm	Track closed for U13 Hot Trail, U15 and U17

Safety

Compulsory:
Full-face helmet, knee protectors, long-fingered gloves and back armour are mandatory.
We also recommend a full suspension bike and wearing a neck brace.

Starting area / zones at the start

Waiting and warm-up zone
Parents are allowed to be with their children.

Start zone
Only participating children are allowed in the start zone, unaccompanied by their parents. Children will be called to the starting order and lined up in the correct order.

Series ranking Bike Kingdom Kids Cup

All results of the whole series will be included in the series ranking.

There are no equal places in the series ranking. In the event of a tie, the person with a better placing in an individual race will be preferred. The next criterion is the number of races. The last criterion is the result of the last race of the season.

Series ranking Hot Trail Series

All results of the categories U17, U15 and U13 from the whole series will be included in the series ranking of the Hot Trail Series.

There will be no ties in the final ranking. In the event of a tie, preference will be given to the person who takes part in the final event. The next criterion is the number of completed races. The last criterion is the result of the Swiss Championship.

During the Bike Kingdom Kids Cup there will be restrictions and track closures in the Bike Kingdom Park. There will be no restrictions on track operations. However, longer waiting times must be expected.
