Bike Kingdom News 2024

Bike Kingdom is slowly waking up from hibernation and getting ready for an exciting summer.

While the trails in Arosa and Lenzerheide are only slowly emerging from under the blanket of snow, the Capital aka Chur has already been enjoying the best biking conditions for weeks and the trails are being actively used. On this page, we have summarised everything that is coming up this season and which dates you should make a note of now.

Bike Kingdom Feast

Bike Kingdom is celebrating its fifth anniversary and therefore invites you to a party. The anniversary celebrations will take place around the Rothorn valley station from 21 to 23 June 2024. With the iXS European Downhill Cup and the Swiss Downhill Championships, the Bike Kingdom Park will once again host top-class downhill races. With the Last Rider Standing, Dirt Jump Show, Heidseejam, Kids Programme and many other side events, the event is not just for watching, but also for taking part.

New FLOWline section Bike Kingdom Park

A new section was added to the Flowline in autumn 2023. As temperatures rise, the snow melts away and the trails in the Bike Kingdom Park are slowly reopened. Weather and snow conditions permitting, the Bike Kingdom Park will open for the first time on 18 May for the 2024 summer season.

Bike Kingdom goes Winterberg

The Bikepark Winterberg is well known among bike park fans. Every year at Whitsun, the bike park hosts the iXS Dirt Masters Festival. Up to 40,000 fans make the pilgrimage to the festival each year. Bike Kingdom is a partner of the event for the first time in 2024 and is excited to delight visitors to the iXS Dirt Masters with its own stand and various Bike Kingdom app quests.

New event dates

Countless Bike Kingdom events are taking place again this year. Downhill youngsters will be battling for valuable seconds at the Bike Kingdom Kids Cup, while fast biking is at least as valuable as clever tactics and skilful team games at the Bike Kingdom Trail Hunt in Arosa. Let's stay on the subject of value, because a convincing concept and loyal fans are at least as valuable as chasing seconds. At the Family Bike Vibes, the Grischa Trailride and Bike Kingdom Testride, a thirst for adventure and the hunt for the latest products round off the Bike Kingdom events. The Last Rider Standing will now be held on two dates in the Bike Kingdom Park. Track knowledge, speed and the right team tactics will help you to win. The well-known Whip off Contest, Jump Sessions and Public Photo Shooting will of course also take place as usual

Operating hours resort lifts

We know that it's been spring for a long time in the lowlands. At 1,400 metres above sea level, everything takes a little longer, including the start of spring. We are currently being hit by the occasional snow front, but the rising temperatures and warming rays of sunshine are in the majority. To avoid being surprised by slightly different opening hours, be sure to check the operating hours before your visit. The Rothorn 1 cable car, and therefore the Bike Kingdom Park, is expected to open for the first time on 18 May 2024. We will, of course, communicate the exact start and open routes in good time!
