Chairlift Obertor
Whether chairlift, gondola lift or ski lift - most transport facilities in mountain sports areas have one thing in common: they transport people uphill and thus usually have a considerable height difference between the valley station and the mountain station. The Obertor chairlift is more than a kilometre long, but it only covers a height difference of four metres. That is hardly enough for a turn on skis, let alone a rapid descent.
The Obertor chairlift has a connecting character: it ensures that winter sports enthusiasts can use the facilities and slopes on the east side as well as on the west side of Lenzerheide. Thanks to the Obertor cable car and the connection between the winter sports areas of Arosa and Lenzerheide, snow sports enthusiasts have a total of 225 kilometres of pistes at their disposal.
