The latest information from the Swiss federal government shows a light at the end of the tunnel. The measures taken in the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic are being gradually eased and - if all goes well - will allow the first tourists to visit Lenzerheide again as early as June.

Newly formed «Corona Task Force» keeps the overview
The Lenzerheide holiday region has formed a "Corona Task Force" and is working out new offers that can be implemented in a Corona-compliant manner. Simple cancellations, new infrastructures and offers are currently the focus of attention. The focus is on the health of the population. The aim is to find quickly implementable solutions to various questions. For example, the "Easy Summer Cancellation" solution has already been introduced, which offers you the possibility of cancelling the booked service in the Lenzerheide holiday region up to seven days before arrival.

New highlights away from the highlights
Soon we will be able to present our new summer campaign #entdeckelenzerheide, where you will get to know highlights beyond the known highlights. Examples are the Belfort castle ruin or the suspension bridge Val Meltger, which would like to be discovered by you this summer.

Mountain railways expect the season to start on 8 June 2020
Lenzerheide Bergbahnen are working towards the idea that summer operations could start on 8 June 2020, should the Swiss Federal Council allow mountain railways to operate again by that date. The inspection and maintenance work therefore started at the beginning of May. The mountain railways would be in a position to start operating the summer offers Bikepark, Chindren's pleasure center on Scharmoin as well as the Weather Dwarfs of Heidbüel incl. picnic area Heidbüel with the associated mountain railways from 8 June. The aerial tramway to the Rothorn summit could also go into operation as planned from 27 June. With the start of the season for the mountain railways, the catering establishments on the mountain are also open again.

Intensive work is being done on a protection concept to ensure that the Swiss federal government's rules of hygiene and conduct can be observed. The same measures are to be applied at the various entry points of the cable cars as is the case with public transport. The points of sale have already been equipped with separating glasses. At the mountain restaurants, attempts are being made to prepare the terraces as additional seats so that the necessary distance rules can be observed.
