Lenzerheide holiday region launches partnership with Copenhill
Copenhill (Danish: Amager Bakke) is a waste incineration plant opened in Copenhagen in 2017. It will supply around 160,000 households with district heating and 62,500 houses with electrical energy from 400,000 tonnes of waste per year. The pitched roof also serves as an artificial ski slope. Copenhill accommodates a total of 1,500 metres of ski slopes on the roof and has a viewing platform. Together with the existing tourist facilities in the surrounding area, this is intended to attract further visitors.
Within the framework of the partnership with Copenhill, the Lenzerheide holiday region wants to activate the Danish market additionally and attract guests to Switzerland.
