Arosa Lenzerheide ski area starts the winter season
The time has finally come again: thanks to favourable climatic conditions, the Arosa Lenzerheide ski area will start the 2022/23 winter season next Saturday, 26 November 2022. Access to the ski area is only possible from Arosa.
Snow-hungry «Arosa Lenzerheide» fans can take the first turns of the 2022/23 winter season on the slopes at Hörnli in Arosa on the weekend of 26 and 27 November 2022. The descent to Arosa is not yet possible. Winter sports enthusiasts can return comfortably to Arosa on the Hörnli Express gondola lift.
Overview of open facilities, slopes, and mountain restaurants next weekend
- Gondola Hörnli-Express (8.45 am to 4.00 pm / last descent 4.15 pm)
- Chairlift Hörnli (9.00 am to 4.00 pm)
- Slope no. 2, 5, 5a, 5b

Even without skis into the ski area
A wide range of Mountain experiences in the Arosa Lenzerheide ski area is also possible without winter sports. The Arosa local mountain Weisshorn, the 360° panorama restaurant Weisshorngipfel and the Arosa Bear Sanctuary are open to pedestrians.
Travel and benefit by public transport
For a comfortable arrival and departure, the offer «Your ski ticket is also a public transport ticket» is already valid this coming weekend. Skiers and snowboarders can use public transport (Rhaetian Railway) free of charge on the Arosa – Chur route when practising alpine winter sports with a valid ski ticket. In Arosa, a free local bus also runs every half hour on Saturdays and Sundays between the Weisshornbahn and Hörnli stops. Further information is available at arosalenzerheide.swiss/public-transport-winter.
Totally relaxed online booking
Book day and 2-day tickets online and benefit twice over: Firstly, the rates for the Arosa Lenzerheide ski area are always at least 6% cheaper online than at the resort lifts' points of sale, and secondly, guests don't waste time queuing and instead spend more time on the slopes. The earlier guests book their tickets, the greater the discount. This applies not only for the coming weekend, but for the entire winter season.
