Slope openings from 29 December 2025
With perfect weather, sports, enjoyment and culinary delights, there is currently a lot going on on the slopes in Arosa Lenzerheide. Despite almost no natural snow and few windows of opportunity for snowmaking, there is an attractive range of activities on offer. However, there are also a few downsides. The main one is that the Heimberg piste still cannot be opened. Today, a large delegation of piste managers and senior management once again took a close look at the situation on site. From a safety perspective, we have not found any option that would allow the piste to be opened at this time.
According to the weather forecast, temperatures will drop significantly during the night, followed by two cold days and nights. We are confident that we will be able to make further progress with these temperatures. The priorities are as follows:
First priority:
- Slope no. 25 (Heimberg) with access to Wanner Bar*
- Slopes no. 66 (Alter Rennhang) and no. 68a (Cumascheals) with Cumascheals chairlift and access to Kuhstall Schamuela*
- Slope no. 12 (Black Diamond)
- Slope no. 8a (Carmenna Berg – Carmenna Hütte)
- Slope no. 10a (Traxloch Kreuzung Hintere Hütte) with access to Alp Arosa*
Second priority:
- Slope no. 45 (Friedmann from slope 40a) to provide access to the Tgantieni valley station
- Slope No. 68b (Val Schamuela) with Valbella ski lift
- Slope No. 76 (Sartons -> Valbella)
*These restaurants are open despite not being connected to the slopes.
Some slopes that are not yet open can only be opened when there is sufficient natural snow, such as Prätschli (No. 16), Lunar Lane (No. 21a – formerly ‘Weisshornmulde’), Black Viper (No. 72 – formerly ‘Die Schwarze’) or Riedboden family slope (No. 73a).
