Handbike Arosa
Experience the mountains first-hand, regardless of your mobility.
Two locations, one goal: the mountains for everyone
To ensure that as many visitors as possible can enjoy the Arosa mountains, two handbikes are now available at different locations. Both initiatives were developed in collaboration with the Arosa Bikeschool, Orthotec AG and MountOn, and complement the existing ‘Worry-Free Package’ for accessible holidays in Arosa.
At the Arosa Bikeschool at the Hörnlital station, a high-performance handbike is available for tours or leisurely rides around the village.
The Triemel combines the handbike experience with archery at the Hochwang Archery Park, making for a varied day out in the countryside.
Handbike Hörnli valley station
The handbike is available for hire at the Arosa Bikeschool at the Hörnli valley station.
- Two 500 Wh batteries, making it suitable for longer rides and hill climbs
- Wide model for added comfort and safety
- Transport to the middle station is available.
- At one point along the route, assistance from another person is required.
- Transport to the Hörnli is not available, as the gondola entrance is only 61 cm wide.
- For safety reasons, an accompanying person should be present at all times.
- Middle station, Carmenna Hut, Hörnli and back, via the gravel path with an uphill section
- Middle station, Schwellisee via Innerarosa
- Middle station, Prätschalp and Prätschsee
- Alternatively: Loop through the village, Prätschli, Untersee, Innerarosa

Handbike Triemel
In conjunction with the Hochwang Archery Park
The handbike is available at Triemel and is linked to the archery activities at Hochwang Archery Park.
- Two 500 Wh batteries, making it suitable for longer rides and hill climbs
- Wide model for added comfort and safety
An assistant is required to collect the used arrows.
- Instruction and bow hire take place in Fatschel.
- The practice shots and instruction take place in the guest’s own, familiar wheelchair.
- Afterwards, we head up to the upper park, where the handbike is collected.
