Fishing while enjoying the mountain scenery

Fish your own dinner and enjoy it around one of the numerous fireplaces or at home on your terrace. Where else in the world will you find more scenic spots to fish than in the Swiss Alps? Arosa provides a number of fishing areas. You can also use a rowing boat to go out and fish.

Fishing times at the Obersee lake and Untersee lake

1 Mai - 31 August 5.00am - 10.00pm (subject to change)
1 September - 15 October 6.00am - 9.00pm (subject to change)

During good-weather days fishing is prohibited in the swimming areas between 9:30am – 7:00pm. Fishing is generally not allowed at the lido Untersee lake.

Buying permits

 

You can easily solve the patent online via the myfish.ch app. 

  • Download the myfish.ch app for Iphone or Android
  • Fill in the information about yourself
  • Select the lake where you want to fish and the relevant patent
  • Read and confirm the regulations 

Patents can also be purchased on site at the guest information desk in the Sport- und Kongresszentrum Arosa.

Fishing Taxes for the Obersee lake and Untersee lake

  • Day Pass, CHF 35.00 plus CHF 5.00 deposit
  • 2-Day Pass, CHF 50.00 plus CHF 5.00 deposit
  • Week Pass, CHF 105.00 plus CHF 5.00 deposit
  • 2-Week Pass, CHF 135.00 plus CHF 5.00 deposit

Arosa Fishing Association

The Arosa Fishing Association’s duty is to promote fishing in and around Arosa and to assure an adequate fish stock. Please make sure you follow the local fishing regulations and spend an enjoyable fishing time. The regulations can be found on the website of the local fishing association.

Fishing in lakes in the Alpenrhein catchment area

With the SaNA permit, fishing is also permitted in other lakes in the Alpine Rhine catchment area (Schwellisee, Isel reservoir, etc.).

Issuing the permit: The permit can be obtained from the Cantonal Office for Hunting and Fishing Graubünden. Further information: Fischereipatente - Fischen in Graubünden
