The most important questions and answers about the new voucher system
With the new voucher system, Arosa Tourism, together with the companies in the Arosa Lenzerheide holiday region, is responding to digital change and changing customer needs. The previous paper vouchers are being replaced by a modern, digital system that offers numerous advantages for guests and businesses.
For guests, this means:
- Simple & fast process: vouchers can be conveniently purchased online
- Secure & flexible: the digital voucher can be used multiple times, just like a credit card.
We rely on Boncard's digital voucher card. It works like a prepaid payment card and can be redeemed cashlessly at all participating businesses. Whether as a physical gift card or a Print@Home voucher with a QR code: everything is done digitally, without paperwork, and conveniently via existing systems.
Payment is made directly online in the web shop via credit card, Twint or invoice.
After placing your order, you have two options:
- Print@home: The vouchers can be downloaded as a PDF file immediately after purchase, printed out and given as a gift – ideal for spontaneous gifts.
- Postal delivery: If you prefer to receive a physical voucher card, it will be delivered by post within 2-3 working days.
print@home vouchers must be exchanged for a card on site. This is necessary because not all participating outlets can redeem print@home vouchers. We therefore ask you to exchange your voucher before redeeming it for the first time.

The digital gift card can be conveniently redeemed like a debit card via an existing card terminal. However, this is only possible at businesses that have actively registered for the system. An overview of all acceptance points in the Arosa destination can be found here.
Not all businesses wish to be part of the voucher system, as this is a decision that each company must make for itself. Reasons for this may include internal processes or strategic orientations.
The digital vouchers are valid for 5 years from the date of purchase. The voucher cannot be extended.
The gift card can be topped up very easily:
- Online: By scanning the QR code on the back of the gift card, the credit can be topped up directly via the web shop using various payment options.
- On site: The credit can be topped up at the guest information desk in the sports and congress centre or at the information desk at the valley station of the Arosa mountain railways.
No refunds or cash payments are possible. The card will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
During a transition period, both paper and digital vouchers will be accepted. This will ensure that the switch to the new system runs smoothly for everyone.
Paper vouchers that have already been issued will remain valid until the expiry date printed on them and can be redeemed as usual at all businesses in Arosa. Nothing will change for you as a guest.
Digital vouchers will be available from the end of November and can be conveniently purchased online. Until the end of 2025, it will be possible to purchase Arosa paper vouchers as usual. From January 2026, vouchers will only be issued digitally.
