Skiing and snowboarding

Hit the slopes and enjoy some fun in the snow! Thanks to its location, Arosa is known for its reliable snow conditions and is the ideal place for skiing or snowboarding. Whether you're skiing on your own or with qualified snow sports instructors, Arosa offers a wide range of options for every level and every lesson focus. Thanks to dedicated local partners, renting equipment is also easy. Restaurants near the slopes also offer special deals on delicious snacks!

Sledging

From Prätschli to Obersee, via the Tschuggenhütte, past Kulm or down to Litzirüti – Arosa is the starting point for various toboggan runs. Whether you take the train or walk up, fun is guaranteed on a thrilling ride down into the valley. Arosa has three toboggan runs with a total length of 4.7 km. In addition, tobogganing enthusiasts can also enjoy three different toboggan runs in the Schanfigg valley. Use of the toboggan runs is free of charge. Toboggans are available for hire at special rates.

Open artificial ice rink (OKEB)

Ice hockey, curling, curling or ice skating? The smooth surface of the open artificial ice rink in the centre of town, just three minutes from the railway station, offers you numerous leisure activities. Skate elegantly across the ice, slide the stones into the house or battle with your teammates for the puck.

Snowshoeing

Quiet winter fun. Snowshoes, once a means of transport for hunters and farmers, are now a modern and popular piece of sports equipment for winter fans of all ages. Interesting hikes are organised for groups in the beautiful surroundings of Arosa.

Tip: The popular moonlight hikes allow you to admire the starry sky without the distraction of city lights.

Squirrel Trail Arosa

The squirrel trail is undoubtedly the most popular themed trail for families. The fluffy little creatures, which venture very close and eat straight from your hand, delight visitors of all ages. The trail leads into the forest at Tomeli-Strasse (below the Waldhotel Arosa) and ends at the Maran bus stop.

Indoor activities

Indoor fun park

The Hotel Sunstar grounds are home to an indoor fun park, which is an ideal alternative location, especially in bad weather. There is plenty of fun and exercise to be had here, whether it's jumping on the trampoline, playing hockey or football, or simply playing freely in the spacious area. Tip: Children aged 10 and above, teenagers and the young at heart can test their agility, speed and endurance on the Ninja Warrior course.

Ice skating

The Arosa ice rink normally serves as a training and playing surface for nine-time Swiss champions EHC Arosa. During the day, however, you too can take to the ice and glide across the surface – either as a bad weather alternative or as an exclusive ice rink for (larger) groups.

Eggahuus Local History Museum

The Schanfigg-Arosa Local History Museum presents a vivid picture of the history, customs, everyday life and crafts of Arosa and Schanfigg. The extensive collection of objects, documents and photographs is stored and exhibited here.

Mountain Lodge

Mountain Lodge

The Mountain Lodge is located in the middle of the mountain forest, very close to the Eichhörnliweg trail and just a stone's throw away from the Weisshorn valley run. An ideal starting point for summer and winter activities, the lodge is situated slightly above the village and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Groups have the option of self-catering. The well-equipped self-catering kitchen with lounge can accommodate 70 guests.

juhui Arosa

The juhui Arosa is ideal for individual guests and families, schools, clubs and larger groups. Guests have access to a dining room and a recreation room with a ping-pong table, television and games corner. On the south side of the building, some rooms have a cosy glass veranda, offering guests a wonderful view of the Aroserhorn and the surrounding area. The juhui Arosa holiday home has 32 rooms with 144 beds.

Haus Strela

Haus Strela

The Strela House is located in Langwies in the Schanfigg Valley, 20 minutes by train from Arosa. In addition to the dining room, which seats 75 people, the building has four lounges and games rooms with two table football tables and much more. The house also has a fenced-in playground with goals and table tennis tables. Haus Strela offers 21 rooms with a total of 72 beds.
