Transalpine Run

As a team, in pairs or solo: the Transalpine Run, the legendary 7-day stage race across the Alps, takes participants on a breathtaking route from Lenzerheide through Switzerland to a spectacular finale at Lake Maggiore.

    The completely new route promises a unique alpine and Mediterranean atmosphere, coupled with magnificent and sometimes very secluded trails. Highlights include the Rhine Gorge, the Greina Plateau, the Ticino mule tracks and Lake Maggiore. The Transalpine Run starts on 28 August 2026 in Lenzerheide and ends after 7 days and 250 kilometres on 3 September. Since its premiere in 2005, the Transalpine Run has been considered one of the world's most sought-after and adventurous trail running events. The stage race offers runners from all over the world the unique experience of crossing the Alps ‘by fair means’. The Transalpine Run crosses the Alps in seven stages along unique trails. A total of 250 kilometres must be covered in the TAR: Lenzerheide, Ilanz, Vrin, Olivone, Biasca, Valle Verzasca, Locarno.

    Important information about the Transalpine Run

    Participants can register by clicking the button.

    The Lenzerheide sports ground will host the start of the first two races and the finish line for the first stage. There will be an expo on the grounds featuring exhibitors from the trail running industry. Spectators can enjoy refreshments from the Aurora coffee van.

    09.30 am – 6.00 pm: TAR & Run2 registration in the Kultursaal, Lenzerheide
    10.00 am – 6.00 pm: Expo at the sports ground
    6.00 pm – 10.00 pm: Evening event for participants in the Lenzerheide multi-purpose hall, dinner, prize-giving ceremony and route briefing

    07.00 am – 5.00 pm : Expo with refreshment stand
    08.00 am: Start of Stage 1
    11.00 am – 4.30 pm: Finish
    06.00 pm – 10.00 pm: Evening event for participants in the Lenzerheide Multi-purpose Hall, dinner, prize-giving ceremony and route briefing.

    05.00 am – 7.00 am: Expo with refreshment stand
    06.00 am: Start of Stage 2
