The Lenzerheide holiday region is acting as a pilot destination in the Innotour «Climate-Friendly Destinations» project.
Climate change brings challenges
The primary aim of this project is not to avert climate change, but to prepare to live with it. Climate change poses considerable challenges for tourist destinations. Snow reliability is decreasing, the winter season is shortening and the risk of natural hazards is increasing. At the same time, however, new opportunities are opening up for spring, summer and autumn.
Develop climate adaptation strategies
The aim of the project is to develop regional climate adaptation strategies. The first measures are to be implemented within three years by 2026. The Lenzerheide holiday region is supported by Graubünden Ferien, Mounteco, Explora Futura and Planval. The Engadin Samnaun Val Müstair and Prättigau destinations are also taking part in the project.
