‘The queens of the night live among us’
...and yet we rarely get to see them due to their nocturnal activities. They have many exciting and unique characteristics and play a central role in the balance of our natural world. If you would like to learn more about these fascinating animals, join us on a bat excursion in Arosa. At the beginning of the evening, you will gain an insight into the special features of bats. We will then set off on a walk through Arosa, where the Cantonal Bat Protection Foundation will tell you about the animals' habitats and, with a bit of luck, you might even see or hear some of them. You will also be given great tips to take home with you on how everyone can help bats themselves and thus make an important contribution to preserving biodiversity in Switzerland.
The event is suitable for people aged 6 and over who are able to walk well.
Good footwear (sturdy mountain boots above ankle height with good tread), weather-appropriate clothing, sufficient beverages.
