What started on the slopes of Arosa is now entering a new chapter with a participation in the Olympic Games! Sophie Hediger, whose parents are from Arosa, discovered and perfected her talent of snowboarding in Arosa. Now she has been nominated by Swiss Olympic as an athlete for the Olympic Games in the discipline Snowboard Cross! Although Sophie Hediger does not live in Arosa like her parents, she is very connected to the destination. She already hit the slopes here as a small child and then quickly discovered her passion for snowboarding. Even today, the young athlete spends a lot of time in Arosa and enjoys the winter sports paradise in the Schanfigg valley.

After a lot of training and big dreams, the time has finally come for Sophie Hediger to compete in the Olympic snowboard cross competition in Beijing on 9 February 2022. We congratulate the "half-Arosa-girl" and wish her all the best!

Follow the competition and keep your fingers crossed! Go Sophie, go Arosa!
