Veil and bow tie to complement the running outfit at the Swiss Snow Walk & Run

You couldn't miss the two of them on the short route: She wore a white veil, he a white bow tie. The 6.1 kilometres and thus the shortest of the four distances were completed together by the Mister Switzerland 2008 and the Bachelor contestant 2018 (then still under the name Maria Bruggner). Their return to Arosa was a special one: The man from eastern Switzerland and the German had met three years ago at the Swiss Snow Walk & Run.

André Reithebuch, the 2009 Mister Switzerland, also started at the unique adventure run in absolutely dream conditions. The man from Glarus had signed up for the Weisshorn Snow Trail, but due to an unclear route he, like many other runners, only covered ten kilometres instead of ten miles. "Things like that can happen," said André Reithebuch. "This in no way detracted from the enjoyment of the run." Former tennis pro Marco Chiudinelli and ex-top fencer Benjamin Steffen joined the short-distance participants, as did the Weiler couple. A total of more than 750 runners took part in the Swiss Snow Walk & Run in Arosa, which was under a strict Covid protection concept.
