The fourth SPAR Swiss Epic will take place in Graubünden from Tuesday 16 to Saturday 20 August 2022. The five-day mountain bike stage race of the worldwide Epic Series leads from Arosa via Laax to Davos this summer. For Arosa, Alex Fiva and the local Arosa Bikeschool team are at the start with a very specific mission. With their participation in the race, they are collecting money for the newly founded Arosa Fund of Arosa Tourism and Special Olympics Switzerland. The aim of the fund is to offer athletes with intellectual disabilities access to training opportunities so that they can take part in the 2029 World Winter Games in Graubünden. From 6 to 17 March 2029, 2,500 athletes from more than 100 countries will get to know all regions of Switzerland, compete in nine sports and thus promote the equal coexistence of all people in our society.

As an ambassador of the World Winter Games 2029, Arosa was able to win Alex Fiva to collect donations for the newly founded Arosa Fund together with the local team of the Arosa Bikeschool. Interested donors can give an estimate of how the team ranks and donate a sum of money to the Arosa Fund based on their performance. The money raised will be used to provide mentally handicapped people with training facilities in Arosa as early as this winter.
