Great weather at the Lenzerheide Motor Classics 2022
The Lenzerheide Motor Classics 2022 are history. Over 200 historic racing and sports cars as well as motorbikes, sidecars and three-wheelers were presented to numerous enthusiastic spectators over the past three days in perfect weather conditions.
The anticipation for the 9th Lenzerheide Motor Classics was great: after two cancelled events due to corona, the popular motorsport event, which traditionally kicks off the summer event season in the Lenzerheide holiday region, returned. The event began on Friday evening with the guided drivers' parade through Lenzerheide, which was followed by two days of exciting round trips in different racing fields on Saturday and Sunday. The rumbling and roaring was not only due to the more than 200 vehicles entered for the Lenzerheide Motor Classics 2022, but also to the half-hour air show by the Patrouille Suisse on Sunday afternoon - a special highlight of the event that thrilled numerous spectators.
Hardly any incidents and no use of blue lights
Despite all the precautionary measures, a motor sport event involves certain risks. It is therefore all the more gratifying that the 9th Lenzerheide Motor Classics was held without any major incidents. There were only two brief interruptions to the racing on Saturday, but in both cases there was only fender bender and no one was injured.
Satisfied organizers
«Thanks to the summery weather and the smooth organization, we were able to offer both the participants and the public a unique motorsport weekend. Not least because of the three-year break, the anticipation, and expectations for the event were great, and we are happy that we can now receive a lot of positive feedback at the end of the event,» says Hans Orsatti, who chairs the seven-member organizing committee.
The next Lenzerheide Motor Classics will take place on the occasion of its tenth anniversary from 2 to 4 June 2023.
