Planoiras Folk Cross Country Skiing Race and Youth Run cancelled

36th Planoiras Folk Cross-Country Skiing Race cancelled
With the measures and requirements currently in force from the federal and cantonal authorities, it is not possible to hold the Planoiras Volkslanglauf. Since a relaxation, if any, is not to be expected before the end of winter, an event like the Volkslanglauf with up to 500 participants cannot possibly take place. We refrain from postponing the event as no relaxation is to be expected.

A digital edition is being examined
At the moment the OC is looking into a digital version. The idea behind this is that the participants run individually a defined distance during a defined period of time, the time is measured and a small goodie bag is handed out upon proof of the distance run.

24th Planoiras Youth Run also cancelled
The Planoiras Youth Run is also cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Postponed to January 2022
The OC very much hopes that in January 2022 the two traditional cross-country skiing events can take place again in their original version.
