With the summer campaign "Lenzerheide Space Walk", the holiday region wants to cover the distance from Lenzerheide to the moon together with guests, locals and second-timers. Everyone can collect kilometres individually, as part of challenges or at events. The campaign has now reached an important milestone: the first circumnavigation of the earth. And: Ambassadors such as Stefan Büsser, Nino Schurter and Alex Fiva are now also on the space shuttle.

In May 2022, the "Mission to the Moon" was launched as part of the summer campaign of the Lenzerheide holiday region. Starting with the publication of a Clips and matching images in all communication media, the presence of the "Lenzerheide Space Walk" was steadily expanded and the campaign slowly but surely gained momentum. In the meantime, several hundred participants are enjoying various Lenzerheide Space Walk challenges on the Outdooractive tour portal every week, diligently collecting kilometre after kilometre. If you don't use a tracking app, you can also record your kilometres manually on the website lenzerheide.swiss/spacewalk and thus contribute to the common goal. The number of "space walkers" has increased exponentially over the past weeks of the high season, which is why the first important milestone can already be announced today: Lenzerheide circled the globe.

What's next?
As of today, over 41,000 kilometres have been covered. So there is still a long way to go before the mission is accomplished. Nevertheless, the steadily increasing number of participants and upcoming events such as the FHGR Trailrun make the organisers optimistic that they will be able to complete at least one, if not a third circumnavigation of the globe by the end of the season. The current challenges will run until 23 October 2022, when a balance sheet will be drawn, prizes raffled and the next stages planned. One thing is clear, however: the "mission to the moon" is to be pursued further.
