The Biathlon World Championships 2025 will take place in the Lenzerheide holiday region

The Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide is the host of the Biathlon World Championships 2025. Switzerland has won against Belarus in the virtual congress of the International Biathlon Union (IBU). «A historic moment» says Swiss-Ski President Urs Lehmann.

«It's the highlight of a success story»
Following the successful hosting of the Youth and Junior World Championships in January / February 2020, the Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide and Swiss Ski have announced their candidacy for the Biathlon World Championships 2025 in June 2020. Nobody would have thought that they would get a commitment the first time. The hosting of the World Championships is another milestone in biathlon history in Switzerland.

Taking up the challenge
To make the event a complete success for everyone, preparations have already begun. There is still a lot of work to be done - but those responsible are tackling the challenge with a great deal of motivation and anticipation.
