The IBU Youth & Junior World Championships Biathlon 2020 is about to start
16 competitions in seven days: That is what the schedule of the 500 athletes from 44 countries looks like. The best junior athletes in the world will meet at IBU Youth & Junior World Championships Biathlon at Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide in Lantsch/Lenz. It is the first major biathlon event that takes place in Lenzerheide - an award that symbolizes a milestone on the way to the first biathlon world championship in Switzerland. The Organizers are counting on the help of 350 volunteers and are expecting about 5000 spectators.
Live stream on srf.ch/sport and on the SRF Sport App. The importance of the IBU Youth & Junior World Championships Biathlon for the development is emphasized by the fact that swiss national television SRG will be the host broadcaster and will broadcast the event worldwide. The SRG streaming this event, will be contribution to the development of biathlon in Switzerland. «We are happy to provide our know-how and put a unique live experience on the screens». Says Roland Mägerle, Manager Business Unit Sports at SRG and SRF Sport. 13 cameras in total will capture the action on the tracks at Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide. Commentator Stephan Liniger and expert Matthias Simmen will take care of the live stream on srf.ch/sport as well as the SRF Sport App on the days of the competition on 1st and 2nd of February 2020.
