In just a few days' time, the Lenzerheide holiday region will be the venue for the world's best female ski racers. On 5 and 6 March 2022, the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Lenzerheide will take place with a super-G and a giant slalom at Heimberg in Parpan in the Arosa Lenzerheide ski resort. With the abolition of the Covid certificate requirement in Switzerland, the event is now accessible to all ski fans with a ticket. The sensational performances of the Swiss women at the Winter Olympics in Beijing promise an unforgettable ski festival.

«Women. Power. Race.»
Maintaining the motto of this year's Audi FIS Ski World Cup Lenzerheide, we can look back on the Winter Olympics in Beijing from a Swiss perspective. Gold for Corinne Suter in the downhill, gold for Michelle Gisin and silver for Wendy Holdener in the Alpine combined, gold for Lara Gut-Behrami and bronze for Michelle Gisin in the super-G as well as bronze for Wendy Holdener in the slalom and bronze for Lara Gut-Behrami in the giant slalom - a Swiss women's skiing fairytale which, together with the men's successes (gold for Beat Feuz in the downhill and gold for Marco Odermatt in the giant slalom), breaks a world record. Never before has a skiing nation achieved five Alpine gold medals at Winter Olympics.

Let's celebrate the Olympic heroes fittingly
«Dear Swiss, let's celebrate our Olympic heroines fittingly». This is the appeal of the OC President of the Ski World Cup Lenzerheide, Luana Bergamin. And rightly so: now that even the Covid-19 certificate obligation and other Covid-19 measures are being dropped in Switzerland, there is no holding back. «We are no longer completely turning our event inside out and organizing a party mile - we are concentrating on the sport - but we want to make the most of the possibilities we have and put on an unforgettable ski festival. We want a full grandstand with beaming faces without masks, rejoicing and celebrating with our athletes. We want to give our athletes back the feeling that was not possible last year because of the pandemic,» says Bergamin.

New starting position without Covid-19 certificate
After the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Final 2021, which had to be held without spectators and under difficult corona-related circumstances, the current situation is more promising than ever from an organizational perspective, not least thanks to the recently communicated decisions of the Federal Council. For the visitors to the Audi FIS Ski World Cup Lenzerheide, all Covid-19 measures will no longer apply. The only thing that remains is the strict demarcation of the red group, which includes the athletes and their teams. The organizing committee around Luana Bergamin is highly motivated and is excited about an event that could not have been imagined at the beginning of the season.

Supporting programme in place
The popular World Cup Village beneath the Heimberg in Parpan returns and can be entered on Saturday and Sunday with a valid visitor ticket. From here, visitors can reach the finish area and watch the races at close range in different categories - VIP, grandstand, finish area. In addition to a DJ duo, who will provide the atmosphere after the races and between the two runs of the giant slalom, the supporting programme for Saturday evening has now also been announced: Visitors can look forward to a concert by the Schwyz fun rock band "Polly Duster", known from the SRF Saturday evening show «Hello Again!» There will be an additional highlight on Sunday, with an air show by the PC-7 team of the Swiss army. The show starts at 12.45 pm and lasts half an hour. During this time, aircraft noise is to be expected and in Parpan and the surrounding area.
