The third season of Bike Kingdom is in the starting blocks
Various innovations and attractions characterise the outlook for the 2022 season.
The gates of Bike Kingdom are already open a crack. Since 2 April 2022, the Alpenbikepark Chur in the region «The Capital» has been in weekend operation and various snow-free trails are ready for you. You can then really get going from the Ascension weekend from 26 to 28 May 2022, when the Bike Kingdom Park will be available to you for the first time and will start daily operation from 4 June 2022.
New gondolas for the Rothorn 1 gondola lift
Lenzerheide Bergbahnen AG is maximising transport capacity on the Rothorn 1 gondola lift by purchasing new gondolas. This will reduce waiting times by an estimated 20 percent. These measures will ultimately enable you to make even more rides in the Bike Kingdom Park!
10 years of the Bikepark in Lenzerheide
The Bikepark in Lenzerheide celebrates its first anniversary in the 2022 season! On the one hand, the park is giving itself a present with a new jumpline with three different levels of difficulty and on the other hand, the opening hours will be adjusted during the main season from 15 July to 14 August 2022. The park will be open daily until 9 p.m. during this period. Bikepark fans with an annual pass or a TOPCARD will benefit from this upgrade free of charge, while for all other guests a "Late Shred" ticket is available for CHF 28.00 in the webshop at bikekingdom.ch.
Increase of the Bike Kingdom Team
Carina Cappellari and Anne-Sophie Benoist are the names of the two new additions to the Bike Kingdom Team, which consists of a total of four riders. They also pursue the goal of motivating bikers to go biking and bring a lot of experience with them. Carina Cappellari is a former Swiss downhill champion and World Cup rider and will be on hand at the Bike Kingdom Kids Cup to help our youngsters with tips and tricks. Anne-Sophie Benoist is at the beginning of a promising downhill career. She will be available to riders at various events and take input and feedback from guests.
Filled event calendar
This summer there will again be numerous events in the Bike Kingdom. The big highlight will take place at the beginning of the main season. From 8 to 10 July 2022, the mountain bike elite will visit us at the Bike Kingdom Games with the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Lenzerheide!
The youngsters can prove their skills at the Bike Kingdom Kids Cup. And the Bike Kingdom Feast is also characterised by thrilling duels for the day's victory. In addition to the various races, the popular testRIDE takes place towards the end of the season, where you can test the latest equipment from renowned exhibitors.
