Lenzerheide can also look forward to a double mountain bike event in summer 2022. From 8 to 10 July 2022, the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup with the disciplines Cross-Country Olympic (XCO) including Cross-Country Short Track and Downhill (DHI) will take place on the Parpaner Rothorn.

While Lenzerheide was still missing as a venue on the 2022 UCI race calendar published at the beginning of the year, the commitment for another double mountain bike event in 2022 is now on the table. In recent years, Lenzerheide has built up a great deal of know-how in terms of World Cup organization. The OC is looking forward to proving once again that they can host a great mountain bike festival.

Next stop: UCI Mountain Bike World Cup 2021
Before the organizational work for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup 2022 begins, this year's World Cup is still on the agenda. Unlike last year, when there was hardly any planning certainty for major events and the World Cup had to be cancelled about two months before the event date, the current starting situation looks better. Thanks to the three-phase model proposed by the Federal Council to combat the Corona pandemic, the staging of the event can - as of today - be guaranteed, possibly even with a limited number of visitors. The organizing committee is currently working at full speed on the implementation concept. Further information on this year's UCI Mountain Bike World Cup can be expected from the beginning of July.
