Swiss Mill Day at the old mill in Zorten
On Swiss Mill Day, we will be putting the old mill in Zorten into operation. Take a look.
At 1.30 pm, 3.00 pm and 4.30 pm, the mill will be set in motion and grain will be ground.
The museum guides, Monica, Wendelin and Thomas, will guide you through the museum and show you what's new at 2.30 pmand 4.00 pm. Take part and feel free to ask what you have been wanting to know for a long time.
Visitors young and old can grind grain at the hand mill and then weigh it on the old scales. Those who manage to grind exactly 100g (+/- 10 %) of flour in the hand mill without weighing beforehand can expect a little surprise.
We will make bread baskets out of felt for the breakfast table. Coffee, tea and pastries are available for refreshment. Fresh bread from the pastroin will be sold.
