From 1 October 2021, the Lenzerheide holiday region will have its own Covid test centre. Initially, managed by the medical practice of Dr. med. Michael Fierz, the Covid test centre, will start test operations in the former UBS premises in the village centre of Lenzerheide until 31 October 2021. The Covid test centre is intended to meet the high testing needs of the population and relieve the medical practices and pharmacies in the region. It is a service for the benefit of local businesses, Owners of second homes and all guests of the Lenzerheide holiday region.

Test operation from 1 October 2021
The Covid test centre in Lenzerheide will initially be operated on a trial basis from 1 to 31 October 2021. During this time, valuable experience is to be gathered, should the Covid test centre become permanently operational during the 2021/22 winter season. This depends on both the epidemiological situation, the federal and cantonal guidelines that will be in force by then and the resulting demand. The test operation is about getting to know the processes and efforts of a Covid test centre, finding out what works and what does not, in order to be ready in time for the winter season 2021/22.

During the testing phase of the Covid test centre in Lenzerheide, both PCR and antigen rapid tests are carried out, both of which are approved for obtaining a Covid certificate. While a PCR test is chargeable for people without Covid symptoms, the rapid antigen tests remain free of charge until 10 October 2021. Registration is required at testzentrumlenzerheide.ch. The offer is aimed exclusively at healthy people. Patients with Covid symptoms will continue to be tested in the doctor's office.
