Bergkirchli-Konzert mit M. Ammann u. St.Thomas

Just a few decades ago, folk music in church would only have been conceivable in exceptional cases. Today, these concerns are hardly ever voiced. It should also be borne in mind that in earlier centuries, organs were often found in farmhouses, particularly in Appenzell, Toggenburg and Emmental in Switzerland. The instrument in the Bergkirchli is also part of this tradition. Certainly, not only sacred music was played on these organs at the time. With this in mind, Marion Ammann, soprano, and Stephan Thomas, organ, present a colourful selection of Swiss folk songs and popular pieces.
