Julian Schmidli

After leading two different lives, two childhood friends find themselves on an adventurous road trip and uncover the secrets they kept from each other. A refreshing and humorous debut about distorted images of masculinity, the meaning of true friendship and the resistant feeling of love.

Julian Schmidli, born in 1985 in Pasadena, California, is a journalist and filmmaker. He works as a reporter for "SRF Data", the data team of Swiss Radio and Television SRF. He also works as a lecturer on the topics of data journalism and online research. He previously worked in the research desks of the SonntagsZeitung and Tages-Anzeiger newspapers and as a freelance journalist and filmmaker.

Reto Bonifazi, art historian and Germanist, will talk to Julian Schmidli before the event.
